WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
Mohamad Tabatabai will again be joining me for a major event in February. Sean Kelley was kind enough to extend an invitation to both Mohamad and myself to teach at his annual Kenpo Camp in West Palm Beach, FL. This will be the third time I've taught at Sean's school and a first for Master Tabatabai.
Sean Kelley began his martial arts training in 1975 under Francisco Conde, earning his Black Belt in 1983. In 1978 Sean met Mr. Parker and began serious training in Kenpo, opening his own school in 1985. During this time, he organized and hosted seminars featuring instructors such as Ed Parker, Bill Wallace, Joe Lewis, Jeff Speakman and Billy Blanks. Presently, Mr. Kelley trains under Grandmaster Michael Robert Pick.
OKKA IN AUSTRALIA
A big Ohana welcome goes out to Stephen Broadbent. Stephen is our first international member, hailing from Queensland, Australia.
Stephen and I met at Graham Lelliott's home earlier this year when Mohamad and I were doing a seminar at Fred Bell's Kenpo in Fresno, CA.
OKKA CREST
If you would like to use the OKKA Crest on your web site or in print, it's now available on the association web site.
On Saturday March 26, 2011 Bob White's Karate Studio will proudly present the 6th Annual Bob White Invitational. All net proceeds from this event will be donated to the Royal Family Kids Camp of Newport Mesa.
Besides being a great event for a good cause, the Friday night banquet has become the Who's Who of Kenpo. Don't miss it!
I'd like to thank Michael for having me at his school in Westport, MA. My wife and I were in New England for a week and Mike opened up his school so we could have a great day with some great friends. Michael, on my left, and Leo Lacerte (in attendance, but not pictured) are members of the association.
